STUNTWORK
Definitely not as good as Ghost Protocol or MI:3, but pretty good still. Some of the stunts are insane and Tom Cruise proves again why he is one of the only true big Hollywood icons left. He commits like nobody else. His stunt work is crazy, I mean, you must be pretty fucked up if you feel like holding onto a flying plane. Also, racing a motorbike without protective gear is freakin mad! This guy just goes all out in what, his 50’s? You gotta love him!
CAST
Also, Rebecca Ferguson is super awesome. She just doesn’t look strong, but acts like it + she is so cute. Why have I never seen her in a movie before?!
All the other main cast we already know from the previous installments and gladly they returned. Simon Pegg definitely got a bigger role this time.
GRIPES
Only real gripe I have with the movie is the underwater sequence which is a little CGI heavy + a little over the top. I don’t really buy it, but that’s mainly because I know how underwater physics actually work 😉
Also, it was sometimes hard to follow the plot. There is bunch of twists and turns and it’s easy to loose track. Maybe simplifying it would have helped to streamline. But other than that it was
CONCLUSION
Very entertaining. I just hope the franchise doesn’t change too much into James Bond. There were certain sections where it reminded me of it.
By the way, this movie was provided to you by BMW… you know what I mean when you watch it. Not that it’s bad, but just something I noticed 😉
