The origin story of Marvel’s favorite boyscout. Chris Evans nails Steve Rogers aka Captain America. He is being supported by cool side-characters, who are portrayed by a stellar cast. Also, the movie has one of the better examples for a good villain portrayal inside the MCU. Hugo Weaving as Skull-face is fun to watch and lovingly over the top. Unfortunately, tons of bad CGI and unbelieveable action sequences drag the movie down during the second half from an otherwise really great set-up.

In short, the first half is top, the second half is flop.

Best part: Steve Rogers as a skinny wanna be hero with a big heart trying to master army bootcamp.
